Editorial Policy
NickStylish publishes two kinds of things: a working stylish nick maker, and guides that explain what the maker produces and where those names can be used. This policy sets out how a guide gets written, where its facts come from, what we refuse to claim, and how a mistake gets corrected once you tell us about it.

Who writes and signs off the pages
Every page on this site is published under one name: the NickStylish editorial team. We do not invent personal bylines, borrow credentials, or put a stock photo next to a made-up biography. The team that maintains the tool is the team that answers for the guides, which is set out in more detail on the page about who runs NickStylish.
Drafts are prepared with the help of AI writing tools. That is a working method, not a shortcut past checking: a draft does not go live until its factual claims have been compared with the sources listed below, its copyable text has been tested for invisible or broken characters, and the page has been reviewed by the site owner.
Where facts come from, in order of trust
A claim about a game or an app is only as good as the place it came from. We use sources in this order and stop at the first one that answers the question:

Other websites, videos and forum posts are useful for finding a question worth answering. They are never cited as proof of the answer.
Every volatile fact carries a date
Game rules change with updates, and shop prices change without notice. When a page states something that can change — a price, a character that a name field accepts, a version number — the date we checked it sits next to the claim. A page that says “checked 09/2026” is telling you exactly how far to trust it in 2027.
Pages that depend on platform rules are reviewed roughly every 90 days. Pages about how Unicode itself works change far less often and are reviewed about twice a year.
What we will not claim
Some “facts” repeat across hundreds of sites without a single official source behind them. When we cannot trace a claim to a publisher or a standard, we say that plainly instead of repeating it. In practice that means:
- No undocumented limits presented as rules. If a character limit or a price appears only in unofficial guides, a page may mention that it is widely reported, but it will not state it as the game’s rule.
- No “tested” label without a test. We do not write that a name was tested in a game unless it actually was. Where we have not been able to check something in the app, the page points you to the in-game check that costs nothing — pasting a name into the field before you commit a rename item.
- No invented numbers. Counters on this site are measured here. A section with no data yet is hidden rather than filled with a placeholder.
- No workarounds that break rules. We will not publish tricks for getting a blocked word past a game’s name filter, or for impersonating another player.
How copyable text is handled
A stylish name is only useful if what you copy is exactly what you saw. Every name, symbol and kaomoji on NickStylish is real Unicode text, never an image of text. Decorative combinations are published byte for byte: we do not strip variation selectors or combining marks to make a string look tidier in our own editor, because those marks are often what makes a combination display correctly on a phone.
What we do remove from any list before it is published: exact duplicates, entries that paste as nothing at all, and strings that are sexual, hateful, gambling-related or abusive once the decoration is stripped away. That check is done on the underlying letters, so a swear word disguised with lookalike characters is caught too.
Images
Illustrations at the top of and inside guides are generated or composed for that guide. They are decorative. If an image shows an interface, it is a representation, not a screenshot of a real account, unless the caption says otherwise. Text that you are meant to copy is never placed inside an image.
Independence
NickStylish is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any game publisher or social platform. Battlegrounds Mobile India, PUBG Mobile, Free Fire and Instagram are trademarks of their respective owners and are named here only to describe what their name fields accept. No page is paid for, and no game, app or service can buy a mention.
Corrections
If a rule on a page is wrong or out of date, email [email protected] with CORRECTION at the start of the subject line, the page address, and what has changed. We check the claim against its source. If the report holds up, the page is corrected, its date moves, and meaningful corrections are noted in the site changelog. If it does not hold up, we reply and say why.
