Contact NickStylish

Contact NickStylish: an envelope and phone on a desk, one address for every request

Write to contact@nickstylish.com — that one address reaches the NickStylish editorial team. We read every message and answer within five working days. Removal and copyright requests are handled before anything else.

Email us

There is one inbox, not a maze of forms: contact@nickstylish.com. Writing from your own mail app means you keep a copy of what you sent and of our reply, which matters if the request is a legal one.

To make the subject line useful to both of us, start it with the kind of request you are making:

Type of request Start the subject with Please include
A character or style is broken BROKEN The app, your device, and the exact text you pasted.
A rule on a guide is wrong or out of date CORRECTION The page address and what has changed since we checked.
Copyright, removal or takedown REMOVAL The page address, what should come down, and your basis for asking.
Something is missing from the tool REQUEST What you were trying to make, and where you got stuck.
Press, partnership or anything else OTHER Whatever you think we need to know.

Report a character that will not render

This is the report we value most, and it is the cheapest one for you to send. Three details are enough for us to reproduce the problem: the app you pasted into, the device you were using, and the text itself.

Report a character that will not render: magnifier over a phone name field
Three details — the app, the device and the exact text — are enough to reproduce almost any rendering problem.

Please paste the characters directly into the email rather than sending a screenshot of them. A screenshot shows us what your device drew; the characters themselves show us what your device was given, and those are different questions. A screenshot is still welcome alongside — it tells us how the result looked to you.

If a name was rejected by a game or an app, tell us what the error said, if it said anything. Silent rejection and an explicit error point at different causes, and knowing which one you hit usually saves us a round of guessing.

Send removal and copyright requests to the same address with REMOVAL at the start of the subject line. They go to the front of the queue and you will get a written answer either way — including when the answer is no, along with the reason.

Removal and copyright requests at NickStylish handled in one written queue
Removal and copyright requests jump the queue and always get a written answer.

A request we can act on names the page, names what on it should come down, and explains the basis for asking. If you are writing as a rights holder or on behalf of one, say which. We do not need a form or a fee, but we do need enough detail to identify the material without guessing.

Two things worth knowing before you write. The styled letters this site generates are Unicode characters defined by an international standard, so they are not anyone’s property and a claim over them is not something we can act on. Game and platform names appear here only to describe what their name fields accept, which is ordinary descriptive use; we are not affiliated with any of them, as set out on the page about who runs this site.

How long we take to reply

Within five working days, and usually sooner. Removal and copyright requests are answered first, then anything reporting a character or a rule that is broken, then everything else.

If a week has gone by with no reply, please send the message again rather than assuming it was ignored — mail from a new address occasionally lands in a spam folder, and a second message is the simplest way past that.

Who operates NickStylish

NickStylish is run by the NickStylish editorial team, which builds and maintains the maker and writes the guides. Correspondence is handled by the same team; there is no separate support desk to be passed along to.

We publish under the team name rather than personal bylines, and we do not list a postal address for a site that is operated online. If a legal request needs something more formal than an email exchange, say so in your first message and we will sort out what is needed.

What we cannot help with

Some of the most common messages we get are about things no one outside the game or platform can do. To save you the wait:

  • Recovering an account — only the platform that holds it can do that.
  • Lifting a ban, or reversing a rejected name — that decision belongs to the game, and we have no channel into it.
  • Changing your name inside a game for you — we generate the text; applying it is done in the game’s own settings, and it usually costs a rename item.
  • Refunds for rename cards or in-game purchases — nothing is sold here, so there is nothing for us to refund.
  • Another site that generates names — we can only answer for this one.

Anything that touches how a name is built, how a character behaves, or what this site publishes is ours to answer — and we would rather hear about it than not. The maker itself is on the NickStylish home page if you want to try something before you write.
