Cookie Policy
NickStylish does not set cookies. There is no analytics script, no advertising and no social media widget on any page, so there is nothing that would need one — and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. This page explains what your browser does keep when you use the tool, and how to clear it.

What a cookie is, briefly
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Sites use them to keep you signed in, to remember settings, and very often to track visits for analytics or advertising. NickStylish has no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising, so it has no use for them.
How you can check this yourself
You do not have to take our word for it. In most desktop browsers, open the developer tools on any page of this site, go to the Application or Storage panel, and look under Cookies for nickstylish.com. The list is empty. The same panel shows the two browser storage entries described below.
What your browser keeps instead
Two items are saved in your browser’s local storage. Local storage is different from a cookie in one important way: its contents are not sent to our server with each request. They stay on your device.
| Name | What it holds | Why it exists | How long it stays |
|---|---|---|---|
nsty_favs |
The styled names you marked with the heart button | So your saved names are still there after a reload | Until you remove them or clear site data |
nsty_token |
A short-lived access token | Lets the page talk to the generator without requesting a new token on every click | Replaced automatically when it expires |
Neither entry contains your name, an email address or anything that identifies you.
How to clear it
Clearing “site data” or “cookies and site data” for nickstylish.com in your browser settings removes both entries immediately. Private or incognito windows discard them when the window closes. The tool keeps working either way; you only lose the names you had saved with the heart button.
The network in front of the site
Like many websites, NickStylish is delivered through a content delivery and security network. Such networks can, in some situations, set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors apart from automated traffic. That cookie is set by the network provider for protection, not by NickStylish for tracking, and it is not used to build any profile of you. At the date above, normal page requests to this site returned no cookies at all.
More detail
What the generator sends when you create or share a name, and what the site’s own database records, is set out in full in the privacy policy. If this page ever needs to change — for example because a feature starts needing a cookie — it will be updated before that feature goes live, and the change will be listed in the changelog. Questions go to [email protected], and the NickStylish maker is on the home page.
